In2013Farrell retired from a career in Law Enforcement as Chief of Police. During his LE career he served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Police Chiefs Association. He was an Emergency Management Coordinator, a Certified Firearms Instructor, Crime Scene Technician, Special Investigator, and earned many other certifications and awards. Farrell is now a reserve police officer and volunteers with a local city police department. Afterretirement he started full time real estate.
Farrell has lived in Gladewater since 1990. He and his wife Kay have three grown children. Farrell serves his community in many ways. He is 3rd Vice President of Gladewater Chamber of Commerce, Past President and Past Zone Chair Gladewater Lions Club, served one term on the Gladewater City Council and isPastor of Eastview Baptist Church Kilgore TX.
